About the New Capital Members
Kyle B. Bate – Phoenix; Estate Planning and Business Law
Kyle’s estate planning practice includes wills, trusts, and probate and trust administration. He works with businesses and nonprofit organizations on entity formation and business matters. He also advises businesses and individuals on various tax matters.
Carrie L. O’Brien – Phoenix; Education and Employment
Carrie concentrates her practice on education law and employment law. She represents schools, school districts, and other educational organizations in all types of legal matters, including data privacy, finance issues, compliance reviews, intergovernmental agreements, Public Records Requests, Open Meeting Law compliance, and civil rights matters. She advises both public entities and private sector clients on various employment issues and challenges, including personnel issues and employment agreements.

A. Daniel Coumides – Phoenix; Insurance and Litigation
Daniel’s (Dan) practice is focused on general liability defense, personal injury defense, construction defect litigation, premises liability defense, product liability defense, defamation, medical malpractice defense, and insurance coverage. He has extensive litigation experience. Dan has tried multiple jury trials to verdict, and he has participated in numerous arbitrations and mediations.
Melissa S. San Angelo – Tucson; Litigation
Melissa’s litigation practice includes general civil matters including business disputes, employment law, insurance defense, and the defense of liability claims against health care facilities and providers. She has experience representing clients in employment matters, including wage and hour, discrimination, wrongful termination, and harassment claims. She has handled various insurance defense matters, including wrongful death and personal injury cases. Melissa also assists growing businesses with business formation and workplace employment matters, such as the review and modification of employee handbooks.
