New Open Meeting Law Amendment
Effective September 19, 2007, all subcommittees, advisory boards or commissions of a public body will be required to keep minutes under a recently adopted amendment to Arizona’s Open Meeting Law. Such subcommittees and advisory boards will now be required to make available to the public the minutes of a meeting, the record of meetings or statements that any legal action was taken. Subcommittees and advisory boards have ten days to post this information on their websites. Subcommittees and advisory boards were already required to comply with other aspects of the Open Meeting Law. An advisory committee or subcommittee is defined as any entity officially established by the public body.
