Jennifer N. MacLennan represents school districts in all facets. Jennifer assists Governing Boards with compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, counsels human resource departments, assists school districts with their business needs, engages in special education litigation, and represents clients in civil rights and employment discrimination matters.
Jennifer brings substantial experience in the labor and employment area, including defense of complaints filed with the Office of Civil Rights, the Arizona Department of Labor, the Arizona Civil Rights Division and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
She is admitted and has litigated before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the federal District Courts and local state courts. Jennifer is a frequent speaker on topics related to school law and has provided training on public law, employment law, and special education law. She is AV® Preeminent™ rated by Martindale-Hubbell®, representing the highest rating in legal ability and ethical standards. She has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America® since 2015. She is most proud of receiving the first-ever award given by the Arizona School Personnel Administrator’s Association as a “Friend of ASPAA” in 2016.
