Gust Rosenfeld is pleased to announce that Peter Collins was voted into the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).

ABOTA is a national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges. ABOTA and its members are dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the civil jury trial right provided by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. ABOTA membership consists of more than 7,600 lawyers—equally balanced between plaintiff and defense—and judges spread among 96 chapters in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

ABOTA is a select, invitation-only organization. Members must have at least five years of active experience as trial lawyers, have tried at least 10 civil jury trials to conclusion and possess additional litigation experience. (Peter has tried over 80 jury trials in criminal and civil cases in State and Federal Courts.) Members also must exhibit the virtues of civility, integrity and professionalism by following ABOTA’s Code of Professionalism and Principles of Civility.

Peter Collins concentrates his practice in general litigation with an emphasis on insurance defense and coverage, construction, personal injury, aviation, medical malpractice, and products liability claims, including wrongful death. Peter represents insurers, manufacturers, contractors, and a variety of businesses and individuals. He also represents people with serious injury claims. In addition, Peter Collins has represented trucking and construction companies in wrongful death and injury litigation since 1990.

Peter is a Judge Pro Tem for the Arizona Superior Court in Pima County and has served as a mediator and arbitrator in various commercial disputes, both on assignment from the Court and privately, since 2006.

He has been recognized for Insurance Law and Personal Injury Litigation in The Best Lawyers in America® every year since 2009, and was first selected for inclusion on the Southwest Super Lawyers® list for Insurance Coverage in 2014. Peter is recognized as AV® Preeminent™ rated by Martindale Hubbell®, representing the highest rating in legal ability and ethical standards.
