Don’t Use Free USB Thumb Drives

January 11, 2022 By Gust Rosenfeld In Legal Alerts

According to the FBI, a group is mailing free USB thumb drives posing as gifts from Amazon or as a COVID warning which, if used, will install malware on your computer and damage your network. Never insert USB drives from an unknown source.

The USB drives were sent through the US Postal Service and United Parcel Service. If you believe you received and used one of the suspect USB drives, you should notify your IT department immediately.
