Wirken Appointed to State Bar Position

Phoenix, Arizona – Charles “Chas” W. Wirken was appointed to Chair the Civil Practice and Procedure Committee of the State Bar of Arizona by Bar President Jimmie D. Smith. The judge and lawyer members of the Committee study and make recommendations to the Arizona Supreme Court through the State Bar Board of Governors on proposals and/or issues involving the various rules which govern procedure in Arizona courts.

Wirken, a former State Bar president, was a member of the Committee from 1977 to 2003. He is a commercial litigator who represents a variety of business in various industries in state and federal courts, including appellate courts, and in alternative dispute resolution arenas. He is admitted to practice in Arizona; U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Ninth, Tenth, and Federal Circuits; and the U.S. Supreme Court. Recognized for his legal advocacy, Wirken is listed in The Best Lawyers of America® in the areas of Franchise Law and Appellate Law.
