Peter Collins Helps Veterans and Law School Students

On April 4, 2017, Peter acted as a Court of Appeals Judge for the Samuel Fegly Moot Court Competition hosted by the University of Arizona’s James E. Rogers College of Law. Second-year law students participated in the annual competition by submitting briefs and making oral arguments in front of the judges for a chance to compete in the College of Law’s ABA Law Student National Appellate Advocacy Competition. Peter has assisted in this and other projects for the James E. Rogers College of Law for over 10 years.

Peter also participated in a Veterans Workshop hosted by U.S. Representative Martha McSally on April 8, 2017, at Empire High School in Tucson. The three-hour non-political event featured representatives from veterans’ service organizations, to connect veterans with benefits they need. He provided legal advice and recommendations to military veterans in one-on-one settings. Peter served in the U.S. Air Force for four years and the Air National Guard for 18 years.
