(Phoenix, AZ) August 30, 2021 – Gust Rosenfeld partnered with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive where enough blood and plasma was donated to help over 100 patients. Forty-three Gust Rosenfeld staff members and attorneys participated on-site or at another donation site to help us reach our goal of helping 100 patients.

There is currently a severe blood shortage and the need for blood is constant. Only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. A single donation can help up to three patients. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.

American Red Cross volunteers and staff work to deliver vital services – from providing relief and support to those in crisis, to helping people be prepared to respond in emergencies. The Red Cross provides about 40% of our nation’s blood and blood components. Blood is essential for surgeries, cancer treatment, chronic illnesses, and traumatic injuries.

To celebrate the firm’s 100th anniversary and 100 years of service, the firm is donating service, goods, and money to several worthy causes throughout the state, with a common theme of “Giving 100.” The blood drive with the American Red Cross is part of this celebration. Additionally, the firm is supporting four other local charities to support over and above the many ways, we already serve the community.
