Séan O’Brien selected to fill three-year term as Lawyer Representative
Phoenix, AZ (October 12, 2017) – Gust Rosenfeld is pleased to announce that Séan P. O’Brien has been selected to fill a three-year term as a Lawyer Representative for the Ninth Circuit. As a Lawyer Representative, Séan will foster communication between federal judges and attorneys, participate in the annual federal judicial conference resolution process, educate members of the bar about the judicial conference, and act as a voice for the lawyers at the federal judicial conference. His three-year team commences October 2017 and concludes after the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference in 2020.

Séan is the Chair of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group and the Chair of the Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Creditors’ Rights Practice Group. He focuses his practice on commercial bankruptcy, restructuring, creditors’ rights, related litigation, appeals as well as mediation. Séan represents institutional clients, corporations, partnerships and individuals in all areas of creditor and debtor relations.
Séan is an approved panel ADR mediator for the United States Bankruptcy Court. He routinely handles ADR matters in disputes dealing with commercial and consumer bankruptcy, restructuring, and creditors’ rights.
Séan is Board Certified in Business Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification, an American Bar Association-accredited program.
