Barbara U. Rodriguez-Pashkowski Named as MCBA Member of the Year
(Phoenix, AZ) October 27, 2021 – Gust Rosenfeld is pleased to announce that Barbara U. Rodriguez-Pashkowski has been named as the Maricopa County Bar Association Robert R. Mills Member of the Year. The award will be presented to Barbara at the MCBA’s annual Hall of Fame Dinner on Thursday, November 18, 2021.
The Robert R. Mills Member of the Year award recognizes a MCBA member who significantly contributes to the programs and activities of the MCBA, dedicates himself or herself to furthering the goals of the legal profession and promoting the ideal of professionalism, and shows an outstanding commitment to public service, including charitable, cultural, humanitarian and educational service to the community at large.
Barbara is an active and involved member of the MCBA. She has served in a variety of leadership roles, including past Chair and current board member of the Environmental and Natural Resources Section, past chair and current member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, past member of the Continuing Legal Education Committee, the Diversity and Inclusion Committee’s representative on the Maricopa County Superior Court’s Commission for the Selection of Court Commissioners, and is actively involved in the CLE presentations of the MCBA.
Barbara, Chair of the firm’s Real Estate and Commercial Sections, concentrates her practice on environmental law, including WQARF, CERCLA, UST matters, due diligence, air quality, water quality, and RCRA. She brings to her clients years of experience including state and federal Superfund litigation, UST compliance and appeals, air quality and water quality permitting and regulatory compliance, asbestos compliance, RCRA regulatory compliance, environmental rule writing and legislation. Barbara works with various federal, state, and local governmental entities and private companies on a broad range of environmental issues.
She has also been recognized in Az Business Leaders in 2021, Az Business’s Top 100 Lawyers in Arizona in 2020, AZRE Magazine’s Most Influential Women in Real Estate in 2018, and included in Best Lawyers in America® in the Environmental Law and Natural Resources Law categories.
