Ian M. Stanford focuses his practice on healthcare law, with an emphasis on representing and defending healthcare institutions and healthcare professionals. He draws on a diverse legal background that includes corporate transactions, appellate law, and healthcare-related business matters.

Before joining Gust Rosenfeld, Ian practiced corporate transactional law, advising healthcare clients on mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, employment issues, and a wide range of general corporate matters. This experience provides him with a practical understanding of the legal and operational challenges healthcare organizations face.

Ian previously served as a judicial law clerk for Judges David D. Weinzweig and Kent E. Cattani of the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One, where he assisted with legal research, analysis, and the drafting of appellate decisions.

Ian earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. During law school, he served as an Associate Editor of the Corporate and Business Law Journal.

A New Jersey native, Ian enjoys watching and playing sports, following the financial markets, and staying active in his community.
