Tim will play a key role in nominating and evaluating NABL Board members and officers
Phoenix, AZ (June 14, 2017) – Gust Rosenfeld is pleased to announce that Tim Stratton has been appointed as a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL) Nominating Committee. Tim will serve on the committee for a period of one year. His term began on June 1.
NABL promotes the integrity of the municipal market by educating its members in the laws affecting state and municipal bonds. NABL provides a forum for exchanging practice ideas and providing tools to help improve the field. The Nominating Committee, in particular, improves NABL leadership by nominating Board members and officers and reviewing their performance to help them fulfill their fiduciary obligations to the Association.
“This is a great opportunity to provide valuable input and leadership to the NABL,” said Tim. “The Nominating Committee plays a key role to the health and future of the NABL. I am honored by the appointment to serve on the committee.”
Tim focuses his practice on public finance and Section 103 tax law. He represents colleges and universities, special districts, cities, towns, and other units of local government in Arizona and Illinois in all matters related to the issuance of municipal securities. He also maintains an active practice as underwriter, disclosure, and bank counsel on publicly and privately offered debt issues. Tim has been counsel in hundreds of bond transactions aggregating billions of dollars and is a frequent speaker on public finance.
