Francis Brillantes Espiritu brings expertise in litigation to Gust Rosenfeld where he focuses on medical malpractice defense in the firm’s Health Care Law practice area.
Francis has practiced in both the private and public legal sectors. Prior to joining Gust Rosenfeld, Francis practiced family law in Arizona. In this capacity Francis managed cases from start up to the appellate level, having argued before the Arizona Court of Appeals. For the Arizona Attorney General Protective Services Section, Francis represented and conducted litigation on behalf of the Arizona Department of Child Safety. As an extern for the Scottsdale City Attorney Civil Division, Francis handled contract disputes and water law rights, among other duties.
Francis was admitted to the Arizona Bar in October 2019 and is a graduate of the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. Francis is a member of the Sandra Day O’Connor Inn of Court and the Arizona Asian American Bar Association. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Francis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Davis.
