Gust Rosenfeld Hosts Real Estate Loan Enforcement Seminar
Six Gust Rosenfeld attorneys address issues of concern for lenders & secured creditors

(Phoenix, AZ) - Over 60 professional lenders and secured creditors attended the Gust Rosenfeld Real Estate Loan Enforcement Seminar on Friday, February 8, 2013 at the firm's Phoenix office.

Featured topics and speakers included Kent Cammack and Christopher M. McNichol on enforcement remedies, deficiencies, deeds in lieu and short sales, guaranties and community property issues and receiverships and note sales. Cammack is one of the authors of Ins and Outs of Foreclosures, published by the State Bar of Arizona. McNichol writes and lectures frequently at bar and industry seminars on real estate, litigation and creditors' rights topics and is a teacher at the Arizona School of Real Estate and Business.

Scott A. Malm and Martin T. Jones covered issues regarding mechanic's liens, broken loan priorities, and safe harbors for lenders. Malm represents title insurance companies, escrow companies and escrow agents, lenders, developers, brokers, contractors in trial and appellate courts at the state and federal level. For more than 30 years, Martin T. Jones has provided legal advice regarding environmental, real estate and land use issues such as superfund, air, water, soil, underground storage tanks, endangered species act and entitlements.

Sean P. O'Brien and Madeleine C. Wanslee discussed issues with bankruptcy, including stay relief, lien stripping and cram downs. O'Brien focuses his practice on bankruptcy, restructuring, creditors' rights and related litigation and appeals. Wanslee's practice focuses on creditors' rights and related state and federal litigation. Wanslee and O'Brien are co-chairs of the firm's Creditors' Rights section and both are certified in Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification, an American Bar Association-accredited program.
