James T. Giel
James T. Giel has a broad range of experience in public finance. He has served as bond counsel, issuer's counsel, borrower's counsel and underwriter's counsel in numerous transactions throughout his career. In addition, he has served as election counsel to many school districts for bond, override and lease elections. Past transactions have included the following types of bond issues: general obligation, lease purchase financing, tax revenue, project revenue, special assessment, certificates of participation, multifamily housing, manufacturing, capital appreciation bonds, and pooled financings. He has experience with tax credit financings, such as Build America Bonds, Qualified School Construction Bonds, Qualified Zone Academy Bonds and Qualified Energy Conservation Bonds.
Jim Giel has represented municipalities, counties, school districts, charter schools, community facilities districts, regional investment banks, conduit issuers, manufacturing entities, housing developers, nonprofit organizations and an airport.
